Cool down on a hot summer day with “The Valley Cooler”

Cool down on a hot summer day with “The Valley Cooler” cocktail recipe. Simply fresh and rejuvenating! This cocktail will leave you feeling refreshed, cool and balanced on the hottest of days.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Oz ROXX Vodka
  • 1 Oz fresh lime juice
  • 2.5 Oz watermelon juice* blended & filtered
  • 1 Oz Basil & Cucumber Simple Syrup**
  • Tijan on rim
  • Garnish with cucumber ribbon, basil leaf, and lime wheel

 *Fresh Watermelon Juice (makes multiple batches):

With a personal size water, halve the watermelon, scoop out watermelon from both halves, place watermelon chunks in blender, purée, pour through fine mesh strainer, place the strained juice in air-tight container.

**Basil & Cucumber Simple Syrup (makes multiple batches)

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3-4 slices cucumber
  • 3-4 leaves of Basil

 Boil and stir, let simmer, strain into air tighter container, let cool.

Directions:

Place ROXX Vodka, simple syrup, lime juice and watermelon juice in shaker tin full of ice, shake vigorously. Pour a cup of ice into the watermelon halve. Strain cocktail over the ice. Sprinkle Tijan on the edge of the watermelon for an extra burst of flavor. Place straw into the cocktail. Enjoy poolside!
