A play on the traditional margarita, Modern Margarita in Phoenix adds grapefruit juice and Aperol to a classic recipe for a refreshing and surprising flavor kick. Aperol is a traditional Italian aperitif with hints of orange and rhubarb. This drink – and all drinks at Modern Margarita – are now gluten-free! Visit their new location in Chandler coming soon.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 oz. Tequila Herradura Blanco
1 1/2 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. Aperol
1/2 oz. simple syrup
Orange peel for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
1. Shake and pour all ingredients into a salted margarita glass over ice.
2. Express orange peel over glass, then add as a garnish.
