Did you know Arizona now has net zero energy apartment complexes? Check out Equinox, one of Scottsdale’s newest apartment complexes promoting a healthier lifestyle and luxury living, with over 1,000 solar panels delivering energy to the community.
Arizona’s first net-zero energy complex was achieved through the collaboration of VIRIDIS and MODUS Development. Combining MODUS Development’s environmentally friendly design and the VIRIDIS group’s close knit-team, the duo set out to create a modern yet welcoming development.
“Equinox combines energy-saving techniques with modern design and high-end finishes to redefine eco-friendly urban living, and that’s what MODUS is all about,” said Ed Gorman, MODUS Development Founder & President, in an official press release. “Equinox is already 29 percent leased and we are just now officially open. That says something about how special this property really is.”
Publisher of Green Living magazine, Dorie Morales and our Editor, Amanda Harvey, had a great time attending the official grand opening of Equinox on Friday, May 20, which had over 75 in attendance.
Equinox’s goal is to create an energy-saving and eco-friendly community that still benefits from upscale features.
One and two-bedroom units (556-1,212 sq ft) are available, with:
- 10-foot ceilings
- LED lighting
- Low-E windows
- Energy Star Appliances
- Dual flash toilets
- USB outlets
- Updated fixtures
- Modern design
A few additional attributes that add to the Equinox experience:
- Covered parking
