Summer Soiree Sangria

A summer sangria is a refreshing and fruity choice for any hot summer day! This recipe comes from our friends at Mindfulness First

Servings: 8

Prepping time: 5 minutes

Chilling time: 2 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of fruity red wine (avoid cabernet sauvignon). All whites and rose wines work well too.
  • ½ cup of brandy
  • 1 cup of natural cranberry pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup of natural orange juice
  • 1 can of ginger ale
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 2 oranges sliced into circles
  • 2 apples or pears, thinly sliced
  • Some blueberries or cranberries
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 Tbsp of coconut or brown sugar
  • Rosemary sprigs or star anise for garnish

Directions

  1. Add all the fruit and coconut or sugar into a bowl or large pitcher and muddle it with a wooden spoon. Then pour in everything else.
  2. Add it all into a punch bowl. Allow it to refrigerate for two hours. If you need to serve immediately, throw in some fresh ice cubes on top. Enjoy every sip!
