Arizona Wine Documentary Now Available on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video

Arizona production company Amoroma Productions recently announced that “Vintage Arizona: The Heart of Winemaking” is now available on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video.

The documentary explores Arizona’s wine industry and immerses viewers in the vibrant and evolving world of Arizona’s wine industry, while showcasing the challenges and triumphs of winemakers in a harsh landscape. Set against the dramatic backdrops of Arizona’s wine regions, this documentary explores the unique journey of winemaking in one of the most challenging environments in the world.

“We were first exposed to the winemaking industry through the work we did with various California wineries and became curious as to what Arizona wine had to offer,” said Daniel Mendoza, filmmaker at Amoroma Productions.  “We had been looking for an engaging topic to dive into through our documentary film work and when the opportunity to highlight some of Arizona’s award-winning winemakers presented itself, we knew we had to act.”

The film features a variety of local winemakers including Maynard James Keenan, founder and winemaker for Merkin Vineyards and Caduceus Cellars, Kent Callaghan, founder of Callaghan Vineyards, Emil Molin, owner of Cove Mesa Vineyard and Keith Moore, winemaker at Mogollon Vineyards. These wineries were named as the top four in the 2022 Arizona Republic Wine Competition’s Best in Class category.

It took three years to film and produce “Vintage Arizona” and through that, the filmmakers tapped into the true passion that the winemakers have, uncovering their struggles, surprises and the wonderful wines produced in Arizona. It tells the story of an emerging wine scene and award-winning wines made here.

Ultimately, we want to help put Arizona wine on the world map and encourage wine enthusiasts everywhere to taste what our great state has to offer.”
