The Ultimate Last-Minute Gift

By Shelby Tuttle

The holiday countdown is coming to a close, and if you’re still searching for a gift that feels personal, luxurious, and sophisticated, look no further. A membership to the Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club is the perfect last-minute solution for the wine lover in your life — offering a gift that keeps on giving long after the decorations are tucked away.

Why Join the Club?

With over 850,000 members, Cooper’s Hawk boasts the largest wine club community in the country. It isn’t just about the wine; it’s about a lifestyle of wine, food, and community. Members can benefit from unique and bold collaborations that you won’t find anywhere else.

In November, Cooper’s Hawk partnered with Michelin-starred chef Curtis Stone to launch an exclusive holiday collaboration. Wine Club members were invited to a private dinner with the lauded chef, where he introduced the two-bottle Curtis Stone Collection, comprised of a Grüner Veltliner ($27.99) from Austria’s Weinviertel region, and a GSM ($29.99), which Stone explains is actually more like an SMG. The blend comes from the Limestone Coast of Australia and is made with 70% Shiraz, 20% Malbec, and 10% Grenache.

The red is bold and lush, featuring notes of dark fruit and spice that hold up beautifully to hearty holiday roasts. The white is vibrant and elegant, offering the perfect acidity to balance creamy appetizers or seafood.

“When you’re thinking about wine and food, you always think about the progress through the dinner, right? So you normally start with something light, like a salad or some fish, or you know, a crudo or something like that,” Stone says about the white varietal. “This is one of those that works brilliantly with all that stuff — very minimal tannins, and no oak touches this wine, so it’s a very clean, dry, easy drinking wine.”

Having Chef Stone’s bottles on the table is like bringing a touch of his culinary expertise into your own home. Although the wines were launched as November’s wine club offerings, they are still available to Wine Club members for purchase through the Cooper’s Hawk website.

Membership benefits include exclusive limited-production wines each month, along with dining rewards, tasting perks and exclusive access to members-only events and new releases.

Additionally, Tim McEnery, CEO of Cooper’s Hawk, notes that roughly 90% of all the wines that Cooper’s Hawk produces are organically farmed.

The Perfect Gift

The Ultimate Last-Minute Gift

Gifting a membership is seamless — ideal for when you need a “hero” gift in a hurry. You can purchase a Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club membership as a gift for three, six or 12 months, and the recipient can even choose to skip the shipping (our favorite sustainable choice) and pick up their bottles at any of the 65+ Cooper’s Hawk locations. A three-month membership of one bottle per month starts at just $70.49, while six- and 12-month memberships clock in at a reasonable $138.99 and $272.99, respectively.

To give the gift of wine this year, simply visit the Wine Club Gift Membership page. Whether you are gifting a few months of discovery or a full year of luxury, the recipient will think of you every time they pop a cork. Cheers!
