Green Living Magazine Turns One

(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) – Green Living magazine is having a birthday! September 2011, marks the 1st anniversary of GLAZ.

Green Living, a premier lifestyle magazine, has taken sustainability in print to the next level and brought a new contemporary flair to the green scene. Through their grassroots approach, they have exposed the wonders of sustainability happening throughout the country and primarily in Arizona. The creative mind behind Green Living, and Editor-in-Chief, Tishin Donkersley, M.A., developed a format that could appeal to the general public and touch all aspect of one’s life.

“The vision was to provide simple and easy solutions to going green. By breaking up the magazine into three sections, LIVE, WORK and PLAY, we aren’t limited by one area of sustainability. Our articles are contemporary and authentic. We cover topics such as, health and wellness, cooking, corporate initiatives, profiles, interior design, architecture, product reviews, art and culture, organic gardening and eco-travel, and many more. Additionally, we strive have leaders in the industry and health and wellness in our publication. Our goal is to be the ‘go to’ resource for all things green.” Donkersley said.

Partnering with Deepak Chopra, M.D., David Simon, M.D. and Earth 911, illustrates their commitment to this lifestyle and authenticity of their content. For the November issue, Dr. Andrew Weil a world-renowned leader in the field of integrative medicine and mind behind True Food Kitchen will be featured.

“By partnering and connecting with local and state-wide organizations and media outlets, we have been able to educate the community about sustainable practices.” Donkersley said.

Green Living also provides a medium for local, green-based businesses and corporations to showcase and brand their product or service to provide healthier options for our community.

“We are very excited about all the business and media relationships that we have developed and look forward to an incredible green and sustainable year!” Dorie Morales, Associate Publisher said.

The anniversary issue, deemed the Design issue, will be highlighting the beauty of building and designing green.

Topics for 2011 include:
•    October – Health & Wellness, Cancer Awareness
•    November – Harvest, Featuring Dr. Andrew Weil
•    December – Best of 2011 – a reflection
