Santa Cruz River History

Local historian Mauro Trejo leads this two-mile walking tour that focuses on our relationship with the Santa Cruz River. You’ll learn how it supported Tucson’s early residents and what 19th- and 20th-century factors affected its demise. The tour begins at Mission Garden and includes a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane.
