About this event

Join ForestPlanet for an On-Demand screening of the award-winning film ‘Regenerating Life’. The film offers an optimistic take on the global climate challenges, and explores nature-based solutions to current problems that revitalize our human and natural communities.

You can stream the film any time during the 5-day availability window: Thursday April 11 at 12am EST through Monday April 15th at 11:30pm EST. Watch at your convenience from anywhere!

John Feldman’s new film, REGENERATING LIFE, takes an ecological approach to unraveling the climate crisis. It offers a deeper look at the underlying causes of global warming, going beyond carbon emissions from the burning of fossil fuels. Ultimately it is Nature and the vast biodiversity that exists on our planet that regulates and balances Earth’s climate.

Feldman explores how life regulates the climate through photosynthesis, the carbon cycle, the water cycle, and the vast interconnected soil networks of fungi, microorganisms, and plant roots.

‘Regenerating Life: How to cool the planet, feed the world, and live happily ever after’

“John Feldman’s film is a masterpiece in which he puts life, in terms of healthy ecosystems, center-stage as the Earth’s extraordinary global-temperature regulator.”

“Feldman’s documentary showcases and celebrates an active network of farmers and land restorers, who are bringing damaged portions of the biosphere back to life.”

“This film traces the vital roles that water, soil, forests, and farmlands play in regulating the global climate.”

About ForestPlanet

ForestPlanet plants trees where they will have the greatest benefit to the soil, local habitat, the environment, and communities in peril. We hope this event will raise enough funds to plant tens of thousands of trees around the world, which will quickly:

  • Stabilize soils
  • Help the land retain rainwater
  • Provide income and food security to local populations
  • Provide habitat for the region’s wildlife

The photos below were taken three years apart in Tanzania, and illustrate the amazing transformative power of a properly executed reforestation project.

Trees hold water and stimulate microbial activity in the soil, and food crops help protect soils from direct sun and also retain rainwater. Working together, the trees and the ground crops can quickly restore degraded lands to abundant fertility.

The event is finished.
