Celebrate Mesa and Living Green Village
Celebrate Mesa and Living Green Village event for Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pioneer Park, 526 E. Main Street. Celebrate Mesa is a free family event that brings the community together to enjoy games, carnival rides, entertainment and more. Planned by the City of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities. Over 9,000 attended in 2019! We are excited to be holding this event once again after two years of cancellation.
It seems that celebrations of nature abound during the month of April (Water Awareness Month, Earth Day on April 22, and Arbor Day on April 29), so what a perfect time to feature our Living Green Village with exhibitors/booths promoting an earth-friendly lifestyle. You are receiving this email as a special invitation to participate in our Living Green Village concept where we’ll be a little less ‘carnival’ and a little more edu-taining.
Check your calendars and talk to you staff and decide if you are interested in joining us this year. I will follow up with our event registration form and more details very soon. I look forward to working with you and making our Living Green Village a sustainable, fun and inspiring part of the Celebrate Mesa event! Just a reminder, even for those that sell product, there is no charge for exhibiting – it’s FREE! Parks staff will provide a 10’x10’ tent, tables, and chairs if needed.
This year will be the 52nd Anniversary of Earth Day, and we are also excited to promote the City’s newly formed Climate Action Plan – with six focus areas: energy, air quality, heat mitigation, water stewardship, materials management, and food systems. We’re looking forward to working with everyone on how we can show the public simple ideas to incorporate earth-friendly practices into their daily lives.
