On July 25, 2025, Green Living hosted the Water, Land, and Wildlife event at the J Club in Prescott Valley, Arizona, bringing together thought leaders to demonstrate their unanimous commitment to environmental sustainability. The occasion was momentous for its attendees, as we heard dialogue that delved deeply into various topics concerning the use of natural resources.

The event featured a range of voices, from environmental experts and business owners, to local members who work for the City of Prescott Valley — all committed to the cause of creating a more eco- conscious lifestyle for residents.
City of Prescott Valley Mayor Kell Palguta kicked things off with opening remarks, before the forum swiftly turned its attention to the two panels.
“There is no easy route to water security or land and wildlife management in a desert state,” Mayor Palguta said to the full venue. “But there is a correct one, and it lies in collaboration, courage, and the persistent belief that we can shape a resilient future through the strength of our ideas and the integrity of our actions.”
This language of optimism carried throughout the day, as the first panel emphasized the need to harvest stormwater in order to fill the local aquifer. The second panel turned the focus onto the vast open spaces of Arizona, its wildlife, and how to protect both.

Valuable insight into what challenges the state and its inhabitants face now and in the foreseeable future were relayed by officials from the town of Prescott Valley, along with environmental experts and water consultants who understand this reality. When the Q-and-As were finished, the room full of community leaders were buzzing with motivation to do better for their communities.
Special thanks to our participants; Hunter Moore, Tracy Lund, Ricardo Aguirre, Lucas Shaw, Don Clark, Vincent Gallegos, Sandra Hoffman, Kim Schonek, Jeff Gagnon, and John P. Jacobson.
